The Kitchen was formerly known as Celebrity Sandwich. Celebrity Sandwich is not far behind the Cafe Espresso as a neighborhood staple. It was a popular lunch spot in Portsmouth. In 2011 the name changed to The Kitchen and started offering both lunch and dinner as well as adding catering. Of the West End restaurants this one is located the closet to downtown Portsmouth.

If you've been a regular of the Portsmouth Farmers Market then you are already familiar with the White Heron Tea Company. They have been selling their organic herbal tisanes and teas for many years. Just in the past couple of years they opened their retail operation on Islington Street. There they offer breakfast items and light lunches along with their tasty teas and more. Yum.

The owners of Street have just announced that they are opening a culinary trilogy. It will include Street'za which will serve NY Style Pizza. The 2nd part of the trilogy will be B'zaar which will evolve into an international market place where you can pick up spices and other ingredients for international meals. B'bar will be used as a pop up bazaar. They are planning to offer the space to artist to display items from the Button Factory.
